Location: Sheikh Zayed City, Egypt

The architecture and interiors of the SODIC Sales Center are designed to reflect the character of the client company and are a representation of the product the client (a property developer) is selling. The design provides potential buyers with a microcosm of the kind of the community and lifestyle being offered, encapsulating the major elements that characterize the community, with distinct work, family, leisure, and play areas in a relaxed and contemporary environment.

The design concept was based on that of a courtyard house, with a consecutive series of indoor-outdoor spaces that circulate around the main courtyard. A central courtyard creates on outdoor garden space that is an integral part of the building and ties the various areas together, and serves to bring the lush outdoor spaces inside, as well as extend the luxurious interior spaces to the exterior. The extensive use of glass, water and vegetation creates a sense of transparency and openness, reflecting the corporate philosophy of the client. The use of glass also serves to unify the different zones, while still providing privacy and separation for both staff and clients. The interior finishes and furnishings serve to reinforce the concept of a home that functions as a workspace.
