The design of the villa was generated by investigating the relationships between solid and void volumes/spaces and their relationship to the program or circulation. The result is an architecture of intersecting and carved out volumes. At the approach to the villa, the entry is a void, allowing views through to the landscape beyond. The interior entry hall is a double height space, providing a vertical connection to the family living room above. Continuing through a passage where a water feature and pool push in on either side one enters the salon; a glazed double height space overlooked by the family room above with grand views to the surrounding terrace and landscape.
